Which screen contractor is actually worth hiring
We don't sell screens and we aren't owned by a manufacturer. Every contractor is scored on third-party test reports, license status pulled from the state registry, and reviews tied to jobs we routed — not on marketing copy.
What are you protecting against?
There is no single best contractor. Break-ins turn on forced-entry testing, wildfire on a Chapter 7A listing, hurricanes on a Miami-Dade NOA. The rating is reweighted for each job separately.
Security Screen Doors
Ranked on forced-entry test evidence, a verified contractor license, and reviews tied to real jobs — not on marketing claims. We don't sell screens and we aren't owned by a manufacturer.
Wildfire & Ember Screens
What counts here is a WUI listing under CBC Chapter 7A and corrosion-resistant metal mesh with openings between 1/16 and 1/8 inch. The rating is reweighted so those carry the score.
Hurricane Screens
Mesh strength is not the deciding factor — an approval on the assembled system is. Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval, frame and fasteners included. The rating is reweighted for it.
Solar Screens
Forced-entry testing barely matters here. Material disclosure and warranty do — they decide how many summers the screen survives before it sags, fades or tears.
Metros we cover

How to pick a system
Four specifications that separate a real security screen from a decorative one — check them on any quote.
Crimsafe vs Titan
Every other comparison of these two is published by a competing manufacturer. This one isn't.
What it costs
Installed pricing per opening by metro, and the four things that decide where you land in the range.
Systems, scored on what the maker publishes
Every figure below was read off the manufacturer’s own public pages and links back to it. Where a maker does not publish something, we say so rather than guessing.
Why this isn't just star ratings
Nobody else is neutral here
Search any two of these brands against each other and the page that ranks is published by a third manufacturer selling against both. We sell nothing, take no manufacturer money for placement, and every number links to the page we read it from.
239 verified installers, no invented ones
Every installer listed here was read from a manufacturer’s own authorised-dealer list, with the source and date on the profile. We publish a score only where we hold evidence — so installers carry verified facts today and a rating once the state licence registry import lands.
